Big names lined up for music extravaganza
KUALA Lumpur will play host to Live & Loud KL 07 – the largest, most sensational and longest-running music festival in South-East Asia –from Nov 23 to Dec2, at several hot and happening venues around the city.
The 10-day jam-packed music extravaganza will feature different genres, repertoires and superstars, offering more than 45 hours of live music.
The fest is divided into three categories – Main, Thematic and Fringe Events.
The Main events are Turn on the Pop and the World Music, Heritage & Culture night while the Thematic events include 80s Nite, Acoustic Show and R&B Night, which will be held at Bukit Kiara and Stadium Negara.
Among the big names who will take centre stage are Whitney Houston, Elliot Yamin, Shaggy, K-Ci & Jojo, James Morrison, Jaclyn Victor, Adibah Noor and Hannah Tan. Meanwhile, five-time Grammy Award winner Dionne Warwick will feature in an exclusive dinner show at Shangri-La Hotel.
The Fringe events, themed “Cube”, “Visuals', “Raw” and “Club”, as well as seminars and workshops, will offer music enthusiasts an opportunity to explore the art and commerce of the music industry. They will take place at several indoor venues, like KL Sentral, Cineleisure and the Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
Tickets will be available from mid-October, ranging in price from RM100 to RM500 for each individual night under the Main or Thematic events category, while a limited season pass at an affordable price is also available for two Main events (Turn on the Pop and World Music, Heritage & Culture night).
The event is organised by Live & Loud Sdn Bhd and endorsed by the Tourism Ministry.
