malam ahad tadi adalah antara keputusan yang rasanya habis tepat penah aku buat dalam masa terdekat nih. keputusan untuk meredah hujan (dengan selamat), tak tengok AJL (skaligus tak bagi sokongan moral kepada kegnkawan yang terlibat.. sorry~!) semata nak tengok reza salleh, yuna dan.. ermm owen nicholas perform di no black tie. something about that place make u say "ooh, have to go there~!" maybe the place setting, the acoustic, maybe the performer.. tapi yang nyatanya, konsep persembahan yg cozy dan layback memang sesuai dengan tempat tu. all u need is an acoustic guitar, piano, or maybe violin.. and no loud music (or maybe im just too old for loud stuff?).. and u wont realize how time flies, how u've been spending 2-3 hours of good acoustic music by 'nice' musician and songwriters.. which malaysia never seem to lack nowdays. thank god!
at first terasa gak macam berat kaki & hati nak pegi kl just to watch a 10pm show consist of three performer, dah la hujan, takut dah sampai nanti dah miss 2/3 of the performer.. but luckily me and syai manage to catch owen nicholas 2nd last song for his first set. otam was at the staircase greeting us. nasib baik dia datang... dalam hati risau jugak.. kalau tak takbleh balek woo
then there was reza salleh.. as usual, doing his thing, wooing the best of people in the venue regardless of gender with his song. and his light joke seems to work everytime (everytime disini bermaksud baru dua kali ku lihat performance dia, dua kali jugak light joke dia menjadi thru out the session).. nice lad by the way. then waktu tengah tengok reza perform, saya disapa oleh cik yuna.. she's nervous.. can u believe that? i didnt bite it. dia dikelilingi kawan² and ayahnya, she's about to perform in a nice place. whats there to be nervous about? saya lagi jeles dengan 'pencapaian' dia ketika itu... (hahah, terkeluar jugak ayat skema aku).
bila tiba masa yuna perform, i think the pre-stage jitter seems to change into a fuel for a wonderful performance. sapa kata jitter itu tidak bagus? janji tak over gugup sudah, u wont messed up that bad~!. she belted out four song (i think.. saya lost didalam aura tempat tu, all performance dihayati sedalam dalamnya) and an encore with a beautiful cover of 'polaroid' originally done by Oh ChentaKu!... personally, saya rasa suara Mior OCK harus diselitkan sebagai 'distance scream' in one of the chorus since aura lagu polaroid versi yuna masih ada 'dark' feel... just in case lagu ni akan masuk dalam studio dan projek yuna akan datang..
sayangnya, malam tu reza salleh cuma perform satu set. but its consider fair since the other performer, owen nicholas came all the way from england to perform, so it's only fair to give the lad a 2nd round of heartfelt performance. during his 2nd round on stage, he did mention his album is going out soon, but what sound as a good news turn out to an almost waste when the singer/songwriter say he's not sure whether it will be available in malaysia. sure, he's not exactly jack johnson or jason mraz to my ears but for such a talent, u definitely wish u could have something from the lad. lets just hope his album will make his way in our local store.
